Stewartstown United Methodist Church Summer Theater

Lights, camera, action! Its time once again for the Stewartstown Summer Theater! For 20 years, the Stewartstown United Methodist Church has delighted audiences by showcasing local talent in musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Fiddler On the Roof. This year’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Scream promises to provide yet another entertaining evening of music and comedy. Along with the youth, drama, and music ministries of the church, the cast, crew, and musicians are comprised of over 80 young people from southern York County and northern Maryland. The show will run August 4-8 and 11-14 with special rates for senior citizens on Wednesday, August 4 and for children ages 3-12 on Thursday, August 5. In honor of the 20th anniversary, a special alumni reunion night will be celebrated on Saturday, August 7. Call 717-993-6188 today for information on the dinner, dessert, and show-only options.

Stewartstown Baptist Church

The Stewartstown Baptist Church will hold its annual vacation bible school July 12th - 16th. All children from 4 years old through sixth grade plus youth and adults are invited to join us on an expedition to "Mt. Extreme: the ultimate good news challenge." Get ready for a mountaintop experience that is too good to miss. Every day will include an exciting worship rally in the mountain lodge. Then all hikers will traverse through adventure-filled bible stories, create a mountain of crafts, explore unique mission sites, experience extraordinary Mt. Extreme music, climb to new heights in recreation, and cool down with mountaintop snowcones. We are happy to offer this "once-in-a-lifetime" expedition opportunity to every child, youth and adult in our community. We have trained a barrage of expedition outfitters (teachers, that is!) for this incredible climb up Mt. Extreme. Our focus will be "climbing to new heights with Jesus." The adventure begins each day at 9:00 AM and ends at 12 noon. For more information, please call 993-6382 or 993-2873. We’re looking forward to having you join us for this exciting expedition.
